Real-Time Trading Signal Dashboard
WebSocket prototype of a trade-copier transport, with a sender dashboard for MT5-style signals and a receiver dashboard for cTrader-style execution.

The client planned a copier that moves trades from MetaTrader 5 to cTrader. Before building platform connectors, they needed to see the transport layer work: a signal leaves one side and arrives on the other in real time, and nothing gets lost when a connection drops.
What I built
- WebSocket server: Node.js with the
wslibrary and Express for static files. It validates each signal and broadcasts it to connected receivers. - Signal format: a JSON message with ID, symbol, side, price, volume and timestamp.
- Sender dashboard: generate random signals or enter them by hand, see connection status, and keep a history of what was sent.
- Receiver dashboard: structured signal cards, buy/sell color coding, an auto-execute mode, filtering and search, and sound alerts.
- Resilience: automatic reconnect after a dropped connection, with the status shown on both pages.
- Reporting: live stats on uptime, response times and signal counts, with export to JSON and CSV.
- User guide: setup and usage docs written for the client team.
